how the lord works and some missionary stories

i have been thinking alot of my mission lately and the great impact it had on my life now . i guess the reason why i have been thinking about it latey was because this genreal confrence for the church of jesus chirst of latter-day saints made a historical news that shock every one . which was that men can go on the mission at 18 and not 19 and women can go at 19 and not 21 . i knew that i was supposed to go on my mission at 20 . but i had to wait to be 21 . when i was 21 in feb 07 i start my papers at schools , but then all these things happen i had to get a cat scan because their was something wrong with my gail bladder but it was nothing really just stones i still have them . then during that christmas i was playing football with my brothers and i catch the foot ball wrong and it brooke my finger and i had to get a stipter . from thatand it never held it still broken and all the dental work . then i had people telling me not to go . and that it not wroth it . so i fhish it at home and then i year later after all the trails i went into the mtc . the mission was one of the hardest experince of the life but also one of my most rewarding expernice also . i have seen so many mircales happen . and how God uses us to answer to prayers . an experince with that was when i was in my 2nd area and i really didnt want to be their . i was still a new missionary only 6 weeks out and i was thinking what i am doing here , then that sunday we went a vist a part member family who the husband was not a member because of some things he did in the past . but he was great he went to church every sunday , he and his wife had family home evening all these things . so before hand while perparing to teach them my compian who been their for a while so she knew him . toldme he has every missionary lesson so we had to get creative on teaching him . so we taught him a christ like quitities i didnt say much ,and i thinking what song to sing when will the lesson be over so we could sing then at the end i ask if we could sing him a song . because that what i also did and i like to sing , they said yea and the wife said can we sing come follow me so we sang it and they sang it also which i thought was cool . then we left i thought nothing of untill we visted with them agian latter on in the month and i was talking to him and i method to him how i was told that i was the frist person to sing to him , he then told me the story that when he read about the hyumns of the church he read the front of the how music and bless our lives and our homes and he told me for years he prayed for the missionaries to sing to him when they come to his home but done would and then he begin to think that he was not wrothy to have the missionaries sing in his home then he look at me and said you were the frist one to do . after that i learn i vaule lesson that the lord had put me their to answer this man prayers God knew that i would sing to him and that he wanted it . a year latter i was able to witness this man enter the waters of baptism. another story happen latter on in my mission me and my compain were at dinner and the members told us how this old lady wanted to learn more and join the church . we went over to the house and my compain ring the door bell and their was no answer and it was late night and it was almsot time for us to be in so my compain said let try agian latter . so we half way to the car . i stop i herd the promting knock on the door. so i stop turn around and knock my compain came back to the door . the old lady who was 90 at the time answer the door and talk to her . and taught her and saw her get baptize . the sprit knewthat we needed to be their at that time and to knock so she could hear and answer it . i am grateful for ture gospel of christ and the joys it brings to my life and that i had a privagle of shring it to the world
